About the position The Capital One Software team is seeking a customer-centric, energetic, and highly-motivated individual to join our team as a Specialist Customer Solutions Architect - Databricks. In this role, you will be at the forefront of building innovative solutions that leverage Capital One's pioneering cloud and data capabilities. You will work closely with diverse cross-functional teams and be responsible for aligning technical and business outcomes for our customers. Your entrepreneurial spirit and ability to remove friction from the customer experience will be key to your success in this position. As a Customer Solutions Architect, you will serve as a trusted advisor to our customers, guiding them through the successful implementation of our solutions. You will leverage your expertise in Databricks to assist Core Solution Architects with advanced technical sales aspects, including custom proof of concept content and workload sizing. Your role will also involve crafting compelling stories and demonstrations that showcase the power of our solutions, as well as using customer insights to influence our product roadmap. You will be the go-to technical resource for our customers, helping them build solutions that span a variety of use cases. This includes scaling big data workloads, migrating workloads to the public cloud, and implementing large-scale data ingestion pipelines. Your deep understanding of data technologies and your ability to communicate effectively across internal and external organizations will be essential in driving the adoption of our Capital One Software products. You will also focus on both pre-sales and post-sales stages, ensuring that our customers receive the best solutions tailored to their needs. Responsibilities • Provide technical leadership to guide strategic customers to successful implementations of our solutions. , • Assist Core Solution Architects with advanced aspects of the technical sale including custom proof of concept content, estimating workload sizing, and custom architectures. , • Craft compelling stories and demonstrations that showcase the power of our solution(s) and partnerships, both internally and externally. , • Use insights and partner feedback to influence our product roadmap, ensuring it meets the evolving needs of our partners and customers. , • Represent the voice of the customer and their needs in internal discussions and working groups. , • Identify the best solutions that bring value to our customers. , • Build and share thought leadership both internally and externally through technical expertise, research, and customer solutioning experiences. , • Serve customers predominantly in the Pre-Sales stages and also focus on Post-Sales stages for unique requests. , • Collaborate with Partner Sales Engineers and Partner Sellers on joint customer strategies and value propositions. Requirements • Bachelor's degree or military experience. , • At least 7 years of experience in a technical customer-facing role. , • At least 5 years of technical experience in Databricks. , • At least 4 years of experience working with cross-functional teams. , • At least 4 years of experience with design, implementation, or consulting experience of distributed applications. Nice-to-haves • Master's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology. , • Databricks certifications. , • High level of comfort communicating effectively across internal and external organizations. , • 2+ years of experience with CI/CD (Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery) for production deployments. , • 2+ years of experience in design and deployment of performant end-to-end data architectures. , • 2+ years of experience with technical project delivery - managing scope and timelines. , • 2+ years of experience in documentation and white-boarding.
