We are in search of skilled Legal/Judicial contract professionals with substantial experience in transcribing depositions and hearings. This is a fully remote role designed for independent contractors. Key Responsibilities • Accurately transcribe audio recordings from depositions, hearings, and other judicial proceedings. • Follow specified style guides to produce verbatim transcripts with precision. • Maintain exceptional attention to detail while interpreting complex legal terminology. Required Skills • Proven experience with legal transcription, court reporting, or scoping is essential. • Superior listening and literacy skills, encompassing comprehension, spelling, and grammar. • Strong typing proficiency with emphasis on both speed and accuracy. • Capability to collaborate effectively in a remote environment. • Ability to adhere strictly to deadlines and customized client style guides. • Familiarity with handling sensitive audio/text content (may be offensive). • Successful completion of a background check is mandatory. Qualifications • Significant prior experience transcribing depositions and hearings. • Knowledge of legal terminology is advantageous. • Court reporting students may also be eligible for consideration. • Currently, this position is not open to residents of Massachusetts or California.
