Applicants can reside in any states where we currently operate, including Maryland, New York, North Carolina, Virginia, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, South Carolina, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Florida, Delaware, West Virginia and New Jersey, as well as Washington, D.C. Additionally, we can consider candidates located in Georgia and Texas. What You Will Be Doing Serves as the direct supervisor to Underwriters within the department Assists Underwriters with daily tasks and questions concerning specific loan applications and loan programs Performs employee reviews, sets goals and performance objectives for each direct report Responsible for training the Underwriters Assists branches with underwriting questions, scenarios and problems specific to the loan files assigned Makes suggestions to the sales team on how to structure or restructure loans and provides suggestions on what can be obtained to satisfy outstanding conditions of the loan approval Limited job related travel may be required What You Need for this Position At least 5 years of mortgage underwriting experience Supervisory experience Experience reviewing Conventional Loans Has obtained FHA DE (Direct Endorsed) Underwriting authority Has VA credit underwriting and VA LAPP authority Bachelor's degree not required, but preferred In addition to the traditional benefits, we offer all our employees stock ownership through a profit sharing trust as part of our retirement savings package.
