Internal Audit – Senior Auditor US Personal Banking

The Senior Auditor is an intermediate level role responsible for performing moderately complex audits and assessments of Citi’s risk and control environments in coordination with the Audit team. The overall objective is to utilize in-depth subject matter expertise to contribute to the development of new techniques / processes for the area or function and help Citi reach business goals. This role... participates in the timely delivery of high quality; value added assurance and audit reports for a portfolio of business activities, which meet the requirements of the Boards of Citigroup and Citibank, their affiliates and of Citi’s respective regulators, globally. USPB Overview: The Internal Audit US Personal Banking team is responsible for providing independent assurance over the key risks and processes associated with Citi’s US Personal Banking (USPB) line of business and the associated servicing and operations. USPB serves Citi’s home market with the largest consumer wallet in the world and offers consumer branded cards, retail services and retail banking (including mortgages). The IA USPB Team covers the end to end consumer product lifecycle from design of new products to the end to end customer experience. The IA USPB Team consists of audit and analytics professionals located in the US: Florida, New York, Delaware, Texas, and North Carolina; Mississauga, Canada, and Mumbai, India. Responsibilities: Participate in moderately complex audits during planning, fieldwork, and reporting to assess the design and operating effectiveness of key controls in scope. Complete assigned audit test work with high quality and within the budgeted timeframes. Communicate audit findings to audit leadership to identify unmitigated risk. Monitor identify and assess risks impacting the business through risk-based audits, business monitoring, and issue validations. Understand and apply internal audit standards, policies, and regulations to provide timely audit assurance and influence audit scope. Develop effective relationship management with key stakeholders to ensure a strong understanding of business risk and controls. Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision. Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy. Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members. Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency. Qualifications: 5-8 years of relevant experience Consumer regulations knowledge and Issue Validation Background preferred Effective verbal and written communication and negotiation skills Subject matter expertise of consumer banking products and services. Effective project management skills Effective influencing and relationship management skills Demonstrated ability to remain unbiased in a diverse working environment Education Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience This job description provides a high-level review of the types of work performed.
