Responsibilities

  • Lead on the design, implementation, deployment, and maintenance of Jeppesen platform and underlying Pairing, Crew Bid, Crew Rostering and Calibration products.

  • Collaborate with domain architects, engineers, and leaders to develop technical standards, reference architectures, design patterns, opinion papers, and architecture decision frameworks.

,

  • Develop and manage a technical strategy and coordinates adoption.

,

  • Manage the architecture review process by creating validation checklists, reviewing architectural artifacts, and providing domain specific guidance.

,

  • Apply architectural and engineering concepts to design solutions that meet operational requirements.

,

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders and product vendor in creating and managing the roadmap for product enhancements.

,

  • Conduct research and develop Proof of Concepts on emerging technologies and implementation toolkits.

,

  • Research, enforce, and drive the adoption of design patterns throughout the enterprise.

,

  • Identify new technologies, industry trends, and best practices for incorporation into BFS policies & roadmap.

,

  • Translate business strategy into technical strategy and define end-to-end technology architectures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or other computer related field.

,

  • +7 years of experience in enterprise architecture, with a strong background in managing complex enterprise applications and infrastructure.

,

  • In-depth experience with Linux, Shell Scripting, Python and functional modeling tools/languages.

,

  • Expertise in on-premise server provisioning, with a focus on hybrid cloud environments.

,

  • Solid understanding of security best practices, including vulnerability management and mitigation.

,

  • Proficient in data architecture, governance, and security, with experience in both relational and non-relational databases.

,

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship.

,

  • Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification.

,

  • Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree in Computer Science.

  • Airline Operations experience.

  • Grid Computing experience.

  • Building optimizer solution using mathematical models.

  • Experience with Jeppesen or similar technologies for Crew Bidding and Crew Rostering.
