Position Summary The Sales & Social Media Specialist plays a vital role in driving in-store and online engagement for MOD BIKES. This hybrid position combines customer-facing sales expertise with digital marketing strategies to enhance brand awareness, generate leads, and create a seamless customer experience across platforms. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable selling in-store, engaging customers at events, and managing our digital presence across social media platforms. Description Location: Austin, Texas (Local candidates only) Status: Full-time Reports to: Sales Manager and CEO Company Overview MOD BIKES is an Austin-based electric bicycle brand offering premium, powerful, and versatile e-bikes. Our team is small, dynamic, and collaborative, with a strong focus on innovation and customer experience. We sell nationwide through our online store and our South Austin showroom, where we provide exceptional customer service and foster long-term brand loyalty. Key Responsibilities

Sales & Customer Engagement

  • Provide expert product knowledge and recommendations to in-store customers.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with new and returning customers to foster brand loyalty.
  • Represent MOD BIKES at events, promoting the brand and driving sales.
  • Process transactions and customer data using digital sales tools.
  • Develop and implement creative initiatives to increase local brand visibility.

Social Media & Digital Marketing

  • Create engaging content (photo, video, and copy) for social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok, and YouTube.
  • Plan, schedule, and publish social media posts to maintain consistent brand presence.
  • Respond to social media inquiries, comments, and messages to build community engagement.
  • Monitor trends and leverage emerging social media strategies to maximize brand impact.
  • Collaborate with influencers and brand ambassadors to expand reach.
  • Track and analyze social media performance, providing data-driven insights to refine strategy.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Sales & Customer Service: Experience in retail sales, hospitality, or a similar role with a focus on customer engagement.
  • Social Media Expertise: Proven experience managing and growing social media accounts for a brand.
  • Content Creation: Understands how to post high-quality photos and videos, edit content, and write compelling copy.
  • Digital Marketing Knowledge: Familiarity with social media scheduling tools, analytics, and advertising.
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently.
  • Strong Communication: Excellent verbal and written skills, both in-person and online.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with Adobe Photoshop, Premiere Pro, Canva, or similar editing tools.
  • Background in event marketing and brand partnerships.
  • In-depth understanding of how social channels influence sales and the optimal use of each platform.

Bonus Attributes

  • Passion for Outdoor & E-Bike Industry: Interest in mobility, sustainability, and outdoor lifestyle brands is a plus.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Must be available to work during operating hours, including weekends and occasional events.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment.
