About the position As an Amazon Delivery Station Warehouse Associate, you will be an integral part of the dedicated Amazon team at the delivery station, which serves as the last stop before we deliver smiles to our customers. This fast-paced and active role involves receiving trucks full of orders and preparing them for delivery. Your responsibilities will include loading conveyor belts, transporting, and staging deliveries to be picked up by drivers. You will be working in a dynamic environment where efficiency and teamwork are key to ensuring that orders are processed and delivered on time. In this role, you will be expected to receive and prepare inventory for delivery, utilizing technology such as smartphones and handheld devices to sort, scan, and prepare orders. You will also be responsible for building, wrapping, sorting, and transporting pallets and packages. Physical demands of the job include lifting up to 49 pounds, receiving truck deliveries, and following prompts on screens to complete tasks. You will be required to stand, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, and reach during your shifts, and may need to use carts, dollies, hand trucks, and other gear to move items around. Additionally, you may be required to go up and down stairs and work at heights of up to 40 feet on a mezzanine, depending on the specific location and role. The work environment at an Amazon Delivery Station is characterized by moving machines such as order pickers, stand-up forklifts, turret trucks, and mobile carts. You may find yourself standing in one place for long periods, walking around, or climbing stairs. The temperature in the warehouse can vary between 60?F and 90?F, and on particularly hot days, it can exceed 90?F in the truck yard or inside trailers. Noise levels can be high, and hearing protection is provided if needed.
