Job Description

Responsible for approving the extension of credit and/or making recommendations to the person(s) making the final lending decisions on new, renewal and extension loans to approve or deny the extension of credit. Prior to making the credit decision or advising the person(s) making the final credit decision, the Credit Analyst conducts a complete credit analysis including gathering, analyzing, and interpreting all types of credit information on existing and prospective customers. Reviews customer accounts and portfolios to identify, evaluate and determine the appropriate course of action on potential credit quality issues in order to maximize credit quality and minimize risk and potential loss to the company. May use technological tools, including computer software, to assist in the credit analysis process by helping evaluate a particular credit or a portfolio. The Credit Analyst will use such tools to compare and evaluate possible courses of action and will make recommendations and/or decisions after various possibilities are considered. Basic Qualifications Bachelor?s degree, or equivalent work experience Six or more years of relevant experience Preferred Skills/Experience Commercial/small business originations underwriting experience SBA originations underwriting experience Strong credit analysis and analytical skills In-depth knowledge of credit analysis, credit administration, credit policy and procedures, and risk analysis Ability to work and problem solve independently Excels in high volume, fast paced production environment Have effective planning, organizational and time management skills Detailed-oriented and self-motivated Background in economics, accounting, and/or finance Effective technical report writing skills Effective verbal and written communication skills Proficient computer navigation skills using a variety of software packages Master's degree or CPA certification is preferred- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Moody?s Credit Lens Familiarity with nCino lending platform The role offers a hybrid/flexible schedule, which means there's an in-office expectation of 3 or more days per week and the flexibility to work outside the office location for the other days. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $107,865.00 - $126,900.00 - $139,590.00 U.S. Bank will consider qualified applicants with arrest or conviction records for employment.
