Target Security Specialist

About the position The Target Security Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety and security of guests, team members, and the brand. This part-time position involves utilizing intelligence-led tactics to mitigate theft and fraud, responding to security incidents, and maintaining a secure environment throughout the store. The role emphasizes crisis response, safety management, and effective communication, contributing to a positive shopping experience for guests. Responsibilities ? Support sales by welcoming and engaging guests and team members at the front of the store. , ? Lead a physical security culture by assessing and maintaining safe and secure standards throughout the store. , ? Respond to and accurately document security incidents. , ? Understand and leverage escalation tools for guest issues to provide a safe environment. , ? Conduct merchandise recoveries and provide apprehension support as needed, adhering to AP policies. , ? Prevent theft and shortage by performing receipt checks for high-dollar merchandise. , ? Submit documentation for all incidents following AP policy and procedures. , ? Utilize the video surveillance system effectively. , ? Model safe working practices and maintain a clean store environment. , ? Provide service and a shopping experience that meets guest needs. Requirements ? Must be at least 18 years of age or older. , ? High school diploma or equivalent. , ? Meet any state or local licensure and/or other legal requirements related to the position. , ? Welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and team members. , ? Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners and other technology equipment. , ? Effective communication skills. , ? Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. , ? Manage workload and prioritize tasks independently. , ?
