Labcorp is seeking a Medical Transcriptionist to join our team at Tufts Medical Center in Boston, MA. Work Schedule: Per diem, as needed. Job Responsibilities

• Transcribe gross and microscopic descriptions on surgical pathology cases comprised of moderately difficult medical terminology.
• Accurate and timely data entry of dictated and/or handwritten pathology cases into the laboratory information system
• Provides complete and accurate resolution to all user inquiries or redirects inquirer to appropriate resource(s) in a timely manner
• Identifies problems, determines and provides/implements appropriate corrective action/accurate solutions
• Researches, troubleshoots and follows-up to ensure all inquiries/problems are resolved in a timely manner

Requirements:

• Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent
• Previous Pathology transcription experienced a plus
• Experience with transcriptionist software is preferred
• Excellent data entry and typing skills
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
• High level of attention to details
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
