Find out how far your passion can take you.About the jobThe Senior Account Executive is responsible for growing new business and quota attainment within a set group of prospective clients in the education vertical. In this role, you will be connecting with your given state-based territory while adding insight and value through all interactions. As you build this new relationship you will uncover, qualify, manage, and close opportunities within your given accounts. We are looking for a driven, resilient, persistent, competitive person who is also relationship oriented, organized, confident, optimistic, and goal oriented. It is important to have a value-added mindset and be willing to continue to learn and be curious.What you’ll be doing
- Strive to build, maintain, and create strong customer relationships.
- Achieve quota through self-sourcing and working with Sales Development to build pipeline
- Have excellent communication and negotiations skills and be customer service oriented.
- Having insight and perception to navigate the software sales process successfully.
- Prospect business by using existing and potential customer networks.
- Set and track sales account targets, aligned with company objectives.
- Work with sales team, managers, marketing, and team members from other departments dedicated to ensuring the highest quality of materials are being produced and all sales, company, and client needs are met.
- Close sales by building rapport and adding value with potential account; explaining product and service capabilities; asking pertinent discovery and qualification questions, overcoming objections from prospects.
- Project Manage the procurement process for our prospects to allow for urgency and predictability.
- Update job knowledge by participating through professional development opportunities.
- 3+ years of Sales, Account Executive, or other relevant experience
- Desire to continually grow and improve
- Strong Critical Thinking & Problem Solving
- Software – Ability to use CRM (Salesforce.com), Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Company Information Database/Wiki, team chat, & online video conferencing tools
- Bachelor’s degree
- SLED Expertise: A strong understanding of the State, Local, and Education (SLED) market, including its unique needs and decision-making processes.
- CMMS Knowledge: Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and its application in streamlining asset management and maintenance operations.
- Outbound Prospecting Skills: A proven ability to generate leads, engage prospects through cold outreach, and build a high-performing sales pipeline.
- Coachability: A growth-oriented attitude, openness to feedback, and a drive to continuously learn and improve.
