Google Cloud Engineer

Job title: Google Cloud Engineer in Charlotte, NC at Genesis10 Company: Genesis10 Job description: Genesis10 is currently seeking a Google Cloud Engineer with our client in the financial Industry located in Charlotte, NC. This is a 12+ month contract position.Responsibilities:

• Architect and deploy robust GCP-based infrastructure solutions for scalability, security, and performance
• Monitor and manage cloud resources using GCP-native tools such as Stackdriver and Cloud Monitoring
• Partner with application and DevOps teams to optimize CI/CD workflows using Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Cloud Build
• Configure and maintain services like Compute Engine, GKE, Cloud Functions, Cloud SQL, Pub/Sub, and Cloud Storage
• Perform cost-efficiency reviews, security audits, and performance tuning
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues across GCP services, networks, and containerized applications
• Ensure adherence to industry security standards, IAM practices, and internal compliance policies

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of Software Engineering experience, including roles focused on cloud-based development and infrastructure
• Demonstrated expertise in GCP services and architecture (e.g., Compute, Networking, Kubernetes, Serverless, IAM)
• Proficiency with scripting languages such as Python and Bash
• Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and container orchestration
• Familiarity with CI/CD processes and tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Google Cloud Build)
• Strong understanding of cloud security best practices and access control models
• Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills
