We’re Hiring: Full-Time Overnight Operator (North Carolina Only) Location: Work from Home – Must Reside in NC Hours: Third Shift Only | Full-Time | 100% Remote Company: The Message Center

About Us: Based in North Carolina, The Message Center is a 24/7 remote answering service trusted by medical offices, service providers, and professionals nationwide. We specialize in after-hours support and urgent message handling — with every call treated as an extension of our clients' businesses.

Position Overview: We’re currently looking for focused and dependable individuals to join our third shift team. This is a 100% remote position, and it requires someone who is confident working independently during overnight hours.

Our third shift operators play a critical role — they are often the only point of contact available for patients, providers, and businesses after hours. You will be working without direct supervision, so it’s essential that you’re self-motivated, attentive, and take pride in doing things right the first time.

What You’ll Do:

  • Answer incoming calls professionally and follow client-specific instructions
  • Relay urgent messages to on-call staff using proper protocols
  • Accurately document and dispatch messages in real time
  • Stay composed and helpful — even during emotional or high-pressure calls
  • Navigate multiple systems while managing live calls
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and HIPAA compliance

Requirements:

  • Must live in North Carolina
  • Must be available for full-time third shift hours (typically between 10 PM and 8 AM)
  • Must be comfortable working independently and taking ownership of your role
  • Strong communication skills — both spoken and written
  • Fast, accurate typing and multitasking ability
  • Quiet home workspace with a reliable, high-speed wired internet connection (Wi-Fi alone is not sufficient)
  • Prior call center or healthcare experience is a plus
  • Professionalism and emotional maturity are a must

Pay: $14.00 - $14.01 per hour
