This position will require you to demonstrate strong attention to detail, utilize problem solving skills, and be a highly focused, performance-driven individual with a background in pharmacy or the healthcare field. You will need to have an understanding of insurance carriers and concepts including drug cards, major medical benefits, and per diem coverage as well as knowledge of government and patient assistance programs. Are you ready to take the next step in furthering your career?In order to be successful in this role you must be able to verify insurance coverage for both new and existing patients and process patient prescription orders in a timely manner. You'll have to demonstrate excellent customer service to patients, healthcare professionals and insurance carriers.This is a full time position. We're open Monday thru Friday from 8am-6pm and you must be willing to work 40 hours within this schedule. - 6 + months of experience with medical insurance, benefits verification, medical billing or a patient/ healthcare customer service.
- Pharmacy experience (PBM, Specialty, etc).
- Previous experience working with Prior Authorizations.
- Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and third party vendors.
- Healthcare related certifications and/or licensure.
- Verifiable High School diploma or GED is required
