Grant Writing Intern (Remote Part-Time Unpaid)
About Thresh: Thresh is a New York-based, female-led performing-arts nonprofit producing work about storytelling in all its forms. From creating cross-cultural productions that deal with issues of identity, race, gender and inclusion, to outreach programs for marginalized and underserved communities in the US and abroad, we represent the underrepresented. JOB POSTING (UNPAID INTERNSHIP): Thresh is seeking Grant Writing Interns to support our development efforts. This is a valuable opportunity to build your grant writing portfolio while contributing to meaningful, socially driven arts projects. Please note this is an unpaid internship intended for individuals who already have some relevant experience. This position is also remote, with flexible hours available, for a total of approximately 12-16 hours per month (3-4 hours per week).
Responsibilities
Assist in drafting, editing, and proofreading grant proposals and reports Organize and maintain grant-related documents and application materials Research and identify new funding opportunities (grant prospecting) Collaborate with Thresh’s team to collect and organize content for proposals Track deadlines and help ensure timely submission of applications
Qualifications
Previous experience with grant writing is required; this may include: Writing or editing sections of grant proposals or reports Organizing materials or supporting application processes Assisting with grant prospecting or funder research Strong writing, editing, and organizational skills Detail-oriented with the ability to meet deadlines Interest in the performing arts and/or social impact work is a plus Ability to work independently and manage time effectively To Apply Please submit the following by way of email to [email protected]: A brief cover letter or statement of interest A list of grants you’ve contributed to, including: Organization name Funder name Year of application Type of grant (foundation, government, corporate, etc.) Note: Due to capacity limitations, we are only able to review applications from individuals with previous grant writing experience.
