The Artistic Assistant position offers a unique opportunity for individuals who are detail-oriented and capable of working with their hands for extended periods, typically between 2 to 6 hours at a time. The successful candidate will be self-driven, responsible, and able to complete work remotely by a specified deadline. In-person collection and return of assembled products will occur 1-2 times per week, with flexible business hours available between 8 AM to 6 PM, Monday through Friday. The work environment is primarily remote, allowing for flexibility in scheduling. This role involves repetitive craft tasks such as folding, cutting, gluing, assembly, and packaging of boutique handcrafted gift merchandise. Candidates should possess a sincere eye for quality control and uphold the high standards expected of a handcrafted artisan. This is a contracted position, requiring the filing of IRS 1099 forms, with pay based on production on a piece-work basis. The flexibility of this pay schedule allows contractors to set their own pace while meeting production requirements. Pay is expected to range from $400 to $1200 per month, depending on the contractor's speed of production and the volume of incoming online orders. A contract detailing the terms and expectations will be provided to the selected applicant, making this an excellent opportunity for artistic individuals seeking supplemental income while enjoying the flexibility of working from home. Responsibilities • Work with hands for 2-6 hours at a time to create components and/or finished products. , • Monitor inventory needs. , • Occasional heavy lifting (up to 25 pounds). , • Work with various paper crafting materials including glue, industrial tape, paper products, and sharp instruments. , • Deliver finished work to the physical work location by the set deadline, estimated 1-2 times per week. Requirements • Ability to work with hands for extended periods (2-6 hours). , • Detail-oriented with a sincere eye for quality control. , • Self-driven and responsible to complete work remotely by deadlines. , • Reliable transportation to/from the in-person workplace.
