Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to enhance our dynamic data team. Key Responsibilities As a Senior Data Engineer, you will enjoy the autonomy to manage your schedule while working alongside a team dedicated to achieving data-driven outcomes. Your primary responsibilities will include: • Identifying client needs and requirements for data, while facilitating the development of comprehensive database solutions. • Leveraging your expertise in database technologies and programming skills to design and sustain effective data systems. • Ensuring data is integrated into user-friendly formats, regulating its usage to align with business objectives. • Evaluating new data sources, analyzing scalability, monitoring performance, and safeguarding data security. • Conducting preliminary data analyses and crafting user interfaces to deliver valuable insights to stakeholders. Required Skills • Proficiency in AWS services (e.g., S3, Glue, DynamoDB, Redshift, Lambda) with a minimum of 2 years of experience. • Strong programming capabilities in Python, SQL, SparkSQL, and PySpark, with at least 2 years of experience. • Excellent problem-solving aptitude and outstanding written and verbal communication skills. • A collaborative mindset, capable of working effectively both in teams and independently within an agile framework (Scrum/Kanban). Qualifications • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is preferred. • A minimum of 2 years of experience in Big Data environments (Hadoop, AWS, Python) is desired. • Familiarity with Spark streaming and agile development practices is a plus. • Understanding of Hadoop/Spark architectures, Data Modeling, and Machine Learning (ML) principles is advantageous. • Knowledge of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles is beneficial.
