Job title: Bilingual Home Visitor/Paraeducator - Emerson Company: Pasco School District Job description : PASCO SCHOOL DISTRICT NO. 1 EMPLOYEE SERVICES 1215 WEST LEWIS ST PASCO, WASHINGTON 99301 PHONE (509) 543-6700 FAX (509) 543-6728 Open: August 23, 2023 Close: August 29, 2023 or until filled POSITION: Bilingual Home Visitor/Paraeducator LOCATION: Emerson Elementary EFFECTIVE DATE: Immediately SALARY: $21.83 - $22.85 $22.41 - 23.43 BA Degree (Based on 2022-2023 salary. 2023-2024 salary TBD) Payroll and Benefits: SCHEDULE: 6.50 hours per day, Monday through Friday 180 day - work year QUALIFICATIONS: REQUIRED: (Qualifications which are essential to the position) *Must proficiently read, speak and write both English and Spanish *High School Diploma or equivalent *Know and communicate District philosophy *Valid Washington State Driver's License and complete 5 year driving abstract (Available from Department of Licensing) *Dependable transportation and proof of auto insurance *Ability to work independently and with initiative *Demonstrated exemplary customer service and responsiveness *Demonstrated punctuality and an excellent work attendance record *Must work within designated bounds of authority and confidentiality * *Able to work flexible hours which coincide with the hours parents are available *Ability to provide workshop/training sessions for parents *Willingness to work with students and parents of students whose attendance negatively impacts performance *Willingness to work collaboratively with all building staff and participate in daily/weekly team meetings *Ability to follow safe work practices and procedures *Ability to establish and maintain professional, cooperative working relationships *Ability to communicate clearly and work effectively with staff, students, and patrons QUALIFICATIONS: DESIRED: (Qualifications which are not required, but would be useful to the position) *AA Degree or BA Degree *Experience as a classroom paraeducator or tutor *Knowledge of, and good rapport with entire migrant community *Previous Home Visitor experience Letters and applications received after closing date will only be accepted and screened if the position remains unfilled.
