Job title: SPECIAL EDUCATION PARA - SUPPORT CENTER Company: Puyallup School District Job description : Hours: 6.25 Hours, Monday - Friday (Includes Collaboration Hour and Start up or Bus Time) Para Prep: 1 Hour Calendar: 190-Day Budget Code: Notes: Flexibility to ride the bus. May work primarily with one student. SUPPORT CENTER = provides services in academic instruction to students with a variety of disabilities ranging from severe to profound. In addition to instruction in academic subject areas, the program also offers modified curriculum instruction which may include a combination of the following: functional academics, daily living skills, prevocational/vocational skills, behavior skills and social skills. Minimum employment requirements: Be at least eighteen years of age and hold a high school diploma or its equivalent In addition, a paraeducator must meet one of the following: * Have received a qualifying score on the Education Testing Service (ETS) paraeducator assessment Hold an associate degree or higher from an accredited college or university Have earned 72 quarter credits or 48 semester credits at the 100 level or higher at an accredited college or university Have completed an apprenticeship as a paraeducator, in a program registered with the Washington State Apprenticeship and Training Council PLEASE UPLOAD PROOF TO VERIFY MEETING REQUIREMENTS BY PROVIDING A COPY OF AN OFFICIAL COLLEGE TRANSCRIPT OR ETS SCORE.
