The SAP PI/PO (Process Integration / Process Orchestration) developer is responsible for supporting, designing, and delivering interfaces between SAP and Non-SAP systems that combine functional business processes with technical message based integration development tools. The PI/PO Developer understands overall SAP enterprise system landscape and can perceive functional requirements between SAP components within the core ERP solution as well as integrate to external applications. The PI/PO developer is involved in all phases of the life cycle implementation, including blueprinting, mapping, prototype, design, configuration, testing, go-live, user training and post production support. The complexity of interfaces may vary, however they need to scale and be highly reliable for complex enterprise system environments Essential Functions Maintaining a sound SAP PI/PO production environment. Design, build, support, and monitor SAP interfaces; develop and maintain data mappings, JAVA mappings, XSLT mappings, EDI and XML communications, PI Proxies, interface definitions, and XSDs. Configure File, FTP, SFTP HTTP/HTTPs, PROXY, IDOC, SOAP, SQL adapters, ALE, and IDOC with SAP PI/PO as messaging service. Work directly with the business to understand/improve the business processes supported by the SAP software solution area assigned as well as gain an understanding of the underlying business requirements being supported. Perform root cause analysis and provide solutions for production and development issues. Message monitoring to ensure solutions are performed as expected. Take ownership of issues and problems in SAP in your assigned areas; troubleshoot, propose solutions, work to confirm solutions, implement and unit test. Participate in collaboration on break/fixes, enhancements and projects. Providing daily operational production support and 24×7 callout support. Stay up to date on SAP Integration advancements and make recommendations regarding improvements to processes and procedures. Close collaboration with the Business SME’s, SAP Development, Basis, and Functional teams. Provide 24×7 application support in Severity 1 situations. Lead efforts within your business stream as well as across business streams to design/support the end to end business process and to ensure that SAP changes in your area have the desired down-stream impacts. Lead project efforts within your area of expertise Perform other duties as assigned Required Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Sciences, Mathematics, Engineering, or area of functional responsibility 5+ years of hands-on SAP PI/PO development and integration experience. 5+ years of ALE/IDOC experience working with standard, extended, and custom iDoc’s. 5+ years of experience with SAP PI Adapters for IDOC, File, SFTP, HTTP, SOAP, and Proxy. 4+ years of EDI translation experience with PO, ASN, and Invoice integration with SAP. 4+ years of experience with HTML/XML/WSDL/XSD, JSON, BADI, BAPI. 4+ years of hands-on Java development and integration. Strong Analytical and relationship building skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Strong positive problem-solving skills. Ability to take direction from several individuals and be self-directed. Demonstrated ability to work with and influence senior level management and key stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications Experience with SAP CPI or integration suite. Demonstrable functional knowledge of SAP modules MM, SD, FI, and eWM. Experience with PI 7.31 or higher/ESR/ID/SLD/Adapter Engine. Proven ability to use secure methods such as SFTP / PGP / Encryption. Programming expertise in Java design, development and testing. Demonstrable competence with SAP Graphical Mapping Demonstrable competence with SAP NWA to trace and log errors. Ability to exercise independent judgment and critical thinking. The potential compensation range for this role is below. The final offer amount could exceed this range, based on various factors such as candidate location (geographical labor market), experience, and skills. $115,000-$135,000.
