As a Senior Data Architect at American Express, you will be responsible for leading the design, development, and implementation of our data management solutions. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in creating the technical vision for our data initiatives and ensuring our data is secure, reliable, and accessible.The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record of... success in the data architecture field and demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills. You should have a deep understanding of relational and non-relational databases as well as the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.To be successful in this role, you must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a data architect or similar role, with a Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field. Expertise in data engineering, data modeling, and ETL development is a must. In addition, you should have experience with cloud computing, big data solutions, and data security tools. The ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams is also essential. Responsibilities: Lead the design, development, and implementation of data management solutions. Create the technical vision for data initiatives. Ensure data security, reliability, and accessibility. Analyze and troubleshoot data architecture issues. Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences. Develop data engineering, data modeling, and ETL development solutions. Utilize cloud computing, big data solutions, and data security tools. Work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams. Mentor and guide junior data architects.
