As a Senior Manager, Strategic Operations (Data Systems), you will support the team that's helping hotels grow market share and outperform competitors. On the Strategic Operations team reporting to the Director RMCC Americas, you will work on projects including developing analytics data products and designing performance dashboards. HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT Your role is important and below are some of the fundamental job duties that make your work unique. What your day-to-day will be like:

• Develop Python-based ETL pipelines to create reports and tools
• Author complex SQL queries and stored procedures for data extraction, aggregation, and reporting
• Build Excel-based financial and operational tools using VBA (macros, custom functions, PivotTable automation, Power Query integration)
• Integrate with RESTful APIs, managing secure authentication and credential storage (e.g., keyring)
• Orchestrate workflows using Apache Airflow (or similar), with automated alerting on failures
• Profile pipeline performance—improve Python code (cProfile) and SQL execution plans
• Document ETL processes, data models, and maintain a centralized data catalog

How you will collaborate with others:

• Partner with Data Science, Analytics, BI, and Commercial Services teams to translate use cases into scalable data products
• Mentor junior analysts and developers in Python, SQL, and VBA best practices; lead knowledge-sharing workshops
• Provide strategic advisory to business and technical partners on analytics best practices and data-product adoption
• Collaborate with partners to define and measure key performance indicators and evaluate data-product impact

What projects you will take ownership of:

• Architect performance-outlook dashboards and self-service reporting tools that surface revenue and commercial trends
• Develop CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment of analytics data products
• Design data models (star/snowflake schemas) to support reporting
• Ensure compliance with security and data-governance policies, including secure credential management and access controls

WHY YOU'LL BE A GREAT FIT You have these minimum qualifications:

• Seven (7) years professional experience in analytics/data-engineering roles
• Three (3) years developing and managing complex SQL and stored procedures (Redshift, SQL Server, MySQL)
• Three (3) years coding experience in automation, macros, and PivotTables
• Travel up to 10%

It would be useful if you have:

• Experience profiling and optimizing Python performance
• Experience implementing and managing Git-based version control and CI/CD pipelines
• Familiarity with coding-standards enforcement (PEP 8, docstrings) and leading code reviews
• Familiarity with FastAPI/Flask microservices or Vue.js/React dashboards
• Experience orchestrating workflows using Apache Airflow (or equivalent)
• Understanding of data-modeling principles (star/snowflake schemas)
• Strong partner-management skills and ability to translate business needs into technical requirements
• Experience with BI tools: Tableau, MicroStrategy, Alteryx, Power BI
