Job Description:

The Immediate Outreach group at Southwest Airlines is responsible for leading direct selling procedures and strategies for Southwest Business. As a Business Development Representative, you will be responsible for acquiring, managing, and growing corporate travel portfolios, as well as identifying opportunities, assessing account performance, and providing data insights to account managers.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Prospect and qualify inbound and outbound leads through cold calling and email campaigns
• Engage clients and build rapport in a professional manner
• Plan and maintain relationships with qualified leads for account managers
• Complete timely and accurate documentation of all sales activities in Salesforce
• Meet or exceed weekly/monthly lead generation objectives
• Provide customer service to Southwest Business Group and clients by responding to and managing sales inquiries
• Participate in ad-hoc sales projects, promotions, and planning
• Negotiate and implement corporate agreements, including Rapid Rewards Business and the Groups program

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Ability to participate in lead generation strategies, including prospecting and qualifying new clients via phone and email
• Proficient written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to speak publicly in front of an audience
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and complete projects with tight deadlines
• Must be thorough and able to work with a sense of urgency
• Must maintain a professional appearance and attitude
