Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and implement daily curriculum according to developmentally appropriate practices and responsive caregiving principles
• Develop and implement emergent and project-based curriculum, assessing and documenting child progress
• Mentor and supervise early childhood preservice teachers, student employees, and other staff members
• Establish and maintain meaningful partnerships with children, families, colleagues, university faculty and staff, and the community
• Collaborate with university researchers to support the production of new knowledge in the field of early childhood care and education

Requirements:

• Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Two years of early childhood education experience
• Pediatric CPR and First Aid Certification (or ability to obtain within 60 days of employment)
• Knowledge of child growth and development, learning theories, and effective learning environments
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work cooperatively with others in a fast-paced environment
