Adjunct Faculty Opportunity in Teacher Education - Empowering the Next Generation of Educators

Join our vibrant community at Santa Fe Community College (SFCC) as an Adjunct Faculty member in Teacher Education! We are seeking a passionate and experienced educator to teach education courses and contribute to the growth and development of our students. As a remote role, you will enjoy the flexibility and autonomy to shape the learning experience for our diverse student body.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach education courses in diverse learning environments, including online and in-person settings
• Develop and implement curriculum that meets the needs of our students and aligns with industry standards
• Provide academic advising and support to students, including mentoring and coaching
• Participate in department and committee meetings to contribute to the growth and development of our programs
• Maintain current professional standards and practices, including ongoing professional development and training

Requirements:

• Master's degree in Education or a related field
• Five years of licensed teaching experience at the P-12 level
• Experience in curriculum development, student advising, and teaching in multicultural settings
• Commitment to serving a diverse college community and promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion

Preferred Qualifications:

• Recent teaching experience at a community college or in adult education
• Experience in teacher mentoring and online teaching
• Bilingual (English/Spanish)
• A strong record of continuing professional development and a commitment to lifelong learning
