Airbnb is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Policy Lead to spearhead our public policy efforts in the Southeast and Gulf regions. As a key member of our North America Policy team, you will develop and execute a comprehensive state and local government relations plan, leveraging your expertise to protect and promote the interests of our host and guest community.

In this critical role, you will:

• Develop and implement a fully integrated state and local government relations plan, utilizing data-driven insights and innovative advocacy strategies to drive policy outcomes.
• Lead and empower a high-performing team of public policy experts, fostering a culture of inclusivity, diversity, and belonging.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Global Sales and Operations, to identify strategic business opportunities and drive growth in the region.
• Represent Airbnb at senior political levels, serving as a media spokesperson and building relationships with key stakeholders, including local, state, and regional legislative, executive, and administrative offices.
• Manage complex projects, prioritize multiple initiatives, and allocate resources effectively to achieve strategic goals.

To excel in this role, you will bring:

• 12+ years of experience working with complex political or regulatory issues in a relevant business, non-governmental organization, or government context.
• Senior leadership experience, with a proven track record of developing and managing diverse, multidisciplinary teams.
• Expertise in campaign development, including paid and earned media, mobilization, and policy advocacy.
• Strong people management skills, with experience in effective delegation, performance management, coaching, and talent development.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to distill complex technical and regulatory issues into clear, compelling narratives.
