We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Part-Time FocusFirst Vision Screener. As a Vision Screener, you will play a vital role in our high-tech comprehensive vision screening initiative, FocusFirst, which provides vision screenings to preschool-aged children in all 67 counties of Alabama.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct non-invasive vision screenings using a portable vision screener (device and training provided)
• Travel to and from vision screening sites across your assigned geographic region
• Export and upload vision screening results to a secure drive
• Provide exceptional customer service to center directors and children
• Maintain complete confidentiality and represent the organization in a professional manner

What We Offer:

• Competitive hourly rate of $18/hour
• Flexible schedule averaging three weekday mornings per week (10-15 hours per week)
• Mileage reimbursement as needed

Requirements:

• Basic computer and internet knowledge, as well as proficiency with Microsoft Excel
• Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle
• Ability to interact with children and center directors in a professional manner
• Pass a criminal background check
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and represent the organization in a first-class manner

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time while performing vision screenings
• Ability to lift, move, and set up screening equipment (up to 10 pounds)
• Good communication skills to interact with children and staff
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail and accuracy
