Campus Immersion Tutor - Empowering Students in Austin, TX

Job Summary:

SiSTEM Tutoring Agency LLC is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Campus Immersion Tutor to provide face-to-face academic support to students across Austin, TX. As a tutor, you will play a vital role in shaping the educational journey of our students, fostering a love for learning, and empowering them to achieve their full potential. Key Responsibilities:

* Provide one-on-one academic support to students in a variety of subjects, including Science, Social Studies, Math, and Reading * Develop lesson plans, assess student progress, and communicate with parents and teachers as needed * Work with students of diverse backgrounds, including migrant students, and demonstrate compassion and empathy * Utilize technology, including email, texting, Slack, and Google Sheets/Excel, to facilitate communication and organization * Collaborate with schools and SiSTEM Tutoring Agency to achieve academic goals and objectives

Requirements:

* Eligible to work in the United States with a valid Social Security Number * Reliable transportation and ability to attend in-person tutoring sessions in a timely and consistent manner * Ability to pass a background check * Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to adapt to diverse student populations * Own computer and technological savvy * Selfless commitment to making a difference in students' lives

Preferred Qualifications:

* Previous teaching experience, particularly with elementary, middle, or high school students * Bilingual in Spanish * Certified teacher with SBEC or other teacher state licensure certification * College student with at least 60 hours of credit hours or college graduate
