Job Title: Title 1 Paraeducator & Class Assistant - Immediate Hiring Opportunity

Job Description:

Join Adams 12 Five Star Schools, a community-driven district committed to excellence, equity, and inclusion, as a Title 1 Paraeducator & Class Assistant. We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to support students in achieving academic success in a Title I designated school. As a key member of our educational team, you will assist students with reading, writing, and basic math skills, implement instruction, and reinforce learning skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist students with classroom activities, implementing teacher's instruction plan, and providing tutoring to ensure mastering of subjects
• Supervise in-person students during remote learning, ensuring student safety and security
• Assist teachers in preparing materials, administering tests, grading, and attendance
• Monitor students during breaks, recess, and field trips
• Support special projects, administer first aid (if needed), and perform other job-related duties as assigned

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Meet one of the following requirements: AA or 2-year college degree, 48 college semester hours, passing of state CDE approved paraprofessional examination, or completion of Personal Commitment Plan
• No experience required, but experience working with school-age children is preferred
• Proficiency in Spanish (if working in the Dual Language Program)
• Criminal background check required for hire, First Aid certification preferred
