As a Special Education Instructor, you will play a vital role in providing rigorous and engaging instructional experiences for students with disabilities, helping them to achieve their full potential and take their place in society.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, organize, and deliver instructional experiences that cater to the academic, communication, vocational, motor, self-help, and social needs of students with disabilities
• Track student progress, reflect on teaching practices, and make adjustments to ensure student academic growth and achievement
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) that meet the unique needs of each student
• Provide a supportive and inclusive learning environment that promotes social, emotional, and academic development

Requirements:

• Special Education certification in accordance with Louisiana Standards for State Certification of School Personnel (Bulletin 746)
• Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field
