Job Summary: As a Data Collection Specialist, you will be responsible for collecting, validating, and analyzing data from various sources, ensuring accuracy and completeness. You will also enter data into precise systems or databases, perform quality assurance checks, and document data collection processes and findings. Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Collection and Validation: Collect and verify data from multiple sources, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Research and Analysis: Conduct in-depth research and analysis to gather relevant data points and insights.
  • Data Entry and Management: Enter collected data into precise systems or databases, ensuring organization and categorization.
  • Quality Assurance: Perform quality checks on collected data to identify and correct discrepancies, errors, or inconsistencies.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Document data collection processes, methodologies, and findings, and prepare reports or summaries for stakeholders.
  • Compliance and Security: Adhere to data security protocols, privacy regulations, and protection standards to safeguard sensitive information.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimization and performance improvements in data collection procedures.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with teams, including data analysts, researchers, and project managers, to align data collection efforts with project goals.
  • Timely Delivery: Meet deadlines and deliverables according to project requirements.
  • Continuous Learning and Development: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, data collection methodologies, and emerging technologies to enhance data collection strategies and skills.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or GED with 1+ year of experience in data collection, technical support, project management, data processing, machine learning, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication, strong organizational skills, and highly detail-oriented.
  • Experience working in a corporate environment.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, highly collaborative, dynamic work environment.
  • Practical knowledge of machine learning and data processing needs and trade-offs.
  • Experience working with prototype resources.
  • Experience in research or data collection.
  • Experience with scripting languages and Unix/Linux environment is a plus.
  • A good sense of humor, a positive attitude, and excellent team work skills are a must.
  • Experience using MS Office, Excel, Mac OS, Confluence, JIRA, and Wiki tools.
