Job Responsibilities:

As a transcriptionist, you will be responsible for creating accurate and high-quality transcripts of audio, video, typed, or handwritten materials. You will work on a variety of projects, including:

• Oral history interviews with WWII veterans, women in academia, farmers, midwives, and more
• Focus groups, financial forecasts, and quarterly reports
• Tech webinars, commencement addresses, and interviews about NGO work, educational reform, and healthcare access
• TV shows and other media content (excluding medical transcription)

Requirements:

• Typing Speed and Accuracy: Minimum of 80 wpm with 98% accuracy
• Language and Style: Strong language, style, and punctuation skills, with the ability to follow our in-house style manual and project-specific instructions
• Research Skills: Ability to verify names and terms via brief internet research
• Technical Requirements: Reliable internet connection, email address with no shared access, and ability to return transcripts as .doc files
