About the Job: Zapier is hiring a Senior Fullstack Engineer to join our New Products team. This team focuses on creating new products like Tables, Interfaces, Chatbots, and Canvas to enhance the productivity of millions of users. You will have the chance to work on exciting projects like AI-powered chatbots and Canvas, which allow users to visually design and automate their workflows. This role is perfect if you’re passionate about building scalable systems and creating tools that simplify complex tasks for users. What You Will Do:
- Make Chatbots Smarter: Improve the chatbot’s ability to answer more complex questions, integrate it with more data, and add advanced capabilities like analytics.
- Enhance Canvas Experience: Develop features that help users visualize and build automations faster using intuitive tools.
- Collaborate with Product & Design Teams: Work closely with teams to design and build products that have smooth and intuitive user experiences.
- Build Frontend UIs: Create user interfaces that are visually appealing and perform well, ensuring they meet users’ needs.
- Work on APIs: Design and implement APIs that connect the frontend with the backend, ensuring data flows smoothly and securely.
- Monitor System Performance: Check the health of the system regularly, ensuring it remains reliable and performs well.
- Resolve Bugs and Address Feature Requests: Investigate issues reported by users and work on improving features based on their feedback.
- Collaborate Across Teams: Work with various teams at Zapier to deliver innovative solutions that help customers.
What We Are Looking For:
- Experience: 6+ years of experience, including at least 2 years at a senior level. You should have experience working on web-based products for 4+ years.
- Technical Skills:
- Expertise in TypeScript and React for building web applications.
- Experience with PostgreSQL.
- Familiar with OpenAPI for creating developer-friendly APIs.
- Knowledge of tools like Datadog for performance monitoring and optimization.
- Nice-to-Have:
- Familiarity with tools like Tailwind, styled-components, and Fastify.
- Experience with Large Language Models (LLMs) to build new features.
- Passion for shipping code frequently and collaborating with a team.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a focus on the “why” behind decisions.
