Director of Collegiate Housing

The Director of Collegiate Housing is a member of the Housing Team who leads and supports a team in the pursuit of achieving safe, welcoming and inclusive homes for Tri Delta members. The primary objective of this position is to achieve enterprise measures for member engagement, satisfaction and brand awareness through proactive relationships with stakeholders and employees at Tri Delta homes. The Director of Collegiate Housing is the responsible leader of the Collegiate Housing Team and has responsibility for all locations within Tri Delta Housing. The Director of Collegiate Housing works to ensure Tri Delta employees in Tri Delta homes are supervised and supported.

  • Status: Full-Time, Salaried – Exempt
  • Location: Remote eligible
  • Travel: Up to 20%
  • Supervised by: Vice President of Housing

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Collegiate Chapter Housing & Leadership
  • Provide leadership to the Collegiate Housing Team to position Tri Delta for long-term housing experience success in alignment with Tri Delta’s staff values.
  • Drive initiatives to ensure full housing occupancy and financial performance in alignment with Tri Delta’s Strategic Plan. Ensure annual, and as needed, leasing and housing agreement activities are completed.
  • Ensure timely and effective communication with chapter leaders, volunteers and stakeholders. Using a One Tri Delta approach, collaborate with other Enterprise departments and volunteers when collegiate chapter opportunities and concerns arise.
  • Develop Tri Delta Housing’s annual Operating Plan on a location-by-location basis, in collaboration with the Accounting and Finance team. Identify and report on financial metrics for Tri Delta Housing locations and elevate concerns or recommendations for consideration.
  • Ensure all properties are operated in accordance with Tri Delta policies and procedures as well as state and federal housing requirements. Prepare regular reports and updates with trends, concerns and recommendations and assist with any property related emergencies.
  • Support and operationalize an effective transition when a home joins the Tri Delta Housing portfolio including stakeholder and employee change management, budget preparation and capital planning.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Facility Support in the oversight, planning and execution of Tri Delta Housing's Capital Plan.
  • Visit properties and attend Enterprise events as requested. Track and report on housing staff visits biannually.
  • Park Street Properties Employees
  • Collaborate with the People & Operations Team to develop and deliver employee life cycle activities for Park Street Properties employees.
  • Coach and develop the Collegiate Housing Team in supervision of Park Street Properties employees. Ensure timely and effective communication with Park Street Properties employees.
  • Strategize and drive house director experience and performance. Serve as a project leader for meetings and as a contributor and editor for communications related to Park Street Properties employees.
  • Provide guidance and direction when navigating employee relations matters in partnership with the People & Operations Team. Serve as an escalation point as needed and assist in any Park Street Properties staff-related emergencies.
  • Serve as a thought leader for the People & Operations Team and Director of Housing Development to aid in the conceptualization of employee training and development plans

Required qualifications include:

  • 5-8 years of related experience
  • 3-5 years of experience leading people
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
  • Possesses skills in leadership, employee relations, stakeholder management, financial operations and budgeting.
  • Adapts to change and is flexible in meeting changing priorities.
