Senior Cloud Application Optimization/Platform Engineer (JOB ID 1596) - OneSparq
OneSparQ is looking for a Senior Cloud Application Optimization/Platform Engineer or a global data analytics company based out of Atlanta, GA. This is a fully remote opportunity.
Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and optimize cloud-native applications using Cosmos DB, AKS, and ADLS.
- Lead efforts in index build, compression/decompression, and application performance tuning in Cosmos Strong Java development experience
- Utilize tools such as VisualVM, Azure Insights, Grafana, and Prometheus for monitoring and diagnostics.
- Architect and manage blue/green deployments, versioning strategies, and code promotion workflows.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, JFrog, Helm Charts, and Docker.
- Collaborate on network architecture, resource group management, and infrastructure provisioning.
- Drive data ingestion and logging strategies across platforms.
- Analyze and optimize cost metrics, log analytics, and Azure alerts to ensure efficient scaling.
Required Skills:
- 10+ years of experience in backend Java development
- 5+ years of recent experience designing, implementing and optimizing applications with Microsoft Azure (Cosmos DB, AKS and ADLS)
- Experience developing and maintaining DevOps, CI/CD Pipelines in GitHub Actions, JFrog, Helm Charts, and Docker
- Degree in an IT or related filed
Additional Skills:
- Experience migrating Background working in Big Data and Data Science environments
- Experience working at an Architecture or consulting level driving application optimization and
- Azure and Java Certifications
