Underwriting Training Specialist

Overview:

What you’d be doing: 

• Responsible for performance, development and coaching of assigned staff members, (i.e. performance reviews, individual performance management, hiring recommendations)

• Assists in monitoring/coordinating workloads, workflow, and customer service to ensure maximum efficiency in the underwriting team. Recommends improvements and helps implement changes.

• May have increased underwriting authority to handle exceptions normally delegated to VP Underwriting

• Provide technical mentoring support for underwriting team members

• Assist in identifying trends and training needs from the team’s quality assurance process and audits

• Hands-on working supervisor, may do the work of underwriter based on business needs

• Superior knowledge in Homeowner Products, Underwriting and Systems
