Working format:Cyprus: Relocation package is provided.Spain: we are only able to hire candidates who possess a DNI (for Spanish nationals) or a NIE linked to a valid working permit in Spain (for foreign nationals). We are looking for a Senior Legal Counsel to join our expanding Team.
What you'll do:
- Advise on financial regulatory frameworks including PSD2, CRD, and CRR, and ensure compliance across operations
- Support and structure financial transactions, as well as credit product launches and changes
- Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of agreements, including financing agreements, service contracts, outsourcing agreements, and partnership arrangements
- Support teams in liaising with regulators and other authorities within the EU on licensing, reporting and other regulatory matters
- Provide legal guidance during product development to ensure regulatory and product compliance
- Collaborate with claims/operations/customer support/transaction monitoring teams
- Participate in dispute resolution and advise on litigation strategy where needed
What you'll bring:
- 5–10 years of relevant experience in a reputable law firm, fintech, bank, or regulatory authority
- Bar admittance in the Netherlands or Germany
- In-depth understanding of EU and local regulatory frameworks (e.g. PSD2, CRD, CRR)
- Strong track record of structuring and executing international financial transactions
- Experience in credit products, including SME lending
- Fluent in English; Dutch or German is a strong plus
- Business-oriented, comfortable working in a fast-moving, tech innovative environment
