Senior Data Scientist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Scientist to join our team. The primary responsibility of this role will be the development and integration of a predictive Lifetime Value (pLTV) model specifically for our subscription applications. This role requires a strong understanding of statistical modeling, machine learning, and data engineering principles, with a focus on delivering actionable insights to drive business growth. Requirements

• Model Development: Design, develop, and implement advanced pLTV models for subscription applications, utilizing various machine learning techniques and statistical methodologies.
• Data Acquisition & Preparation: Collaborate with data engineers to ensure the availability of clean, reliable, and relevant data for model development and ongoing maintenance. This includes identifying necessary data sources from subscription apps.
• Model Validation & Evaluation: Rigorously validate model performance, assess accuracy, and continuously refine models based on new data and business requirements.
• Integration: Work closely with engineering,product and marketing teams to seamlessly integrate the pLTV model into existing systems and workflows.
• Performance Monitoring: Establish and maintain robust monitoring mechanisms to track model performance, identify potential issues, and ensure long-term accuracy.
• A/B Testing & Experimentation: Design and execute A/B tests to evaluate the impact of pLTV-driven strategies and optimizations.
• Reporting & Communication: Clearly communicate complex analytical findings, model insights, and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Research & Innovation: Stay abreast of the latest advancements in data science, machine learning, and LTV modeling, and proactively identify opportunities for innovation.

Qualifications

• Education: Master's or Ph.D. in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
• Experience: 3+ years of experience in data science, with a proven track record of developing and deploying predictive models in a production environment, specifically with subscription-based businesses. 
• Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in Python and/or R.
• Strong experience with SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
• Solid understanding of machine learning algorithms (e.g., regression, shifted beta geometric, classification, time series analysis, retentioneering, deep learning, beta geom regression, and others).
• Experience with big data technologies (e.g., PySpark, Spark) is a plus.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., GCP, BigQuery) for data science workflows.
• Domain Knowledge:
• Deep understanding of customer lifetime value (LTV) concepts and methodologies.
• Experience working with subscription-based business models and their unique data characteristics.
• Familiarity with A/B testing frameworks and experimental design.
• Soft Skills:
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and presentation abilities.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to data accuracy and model integrity.
