Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Applied Machine Learning Scientist to join our team of experts in developing advanced algorithms for sensing technologies. As a successful candidate, you will have a strong background in deep learning, signal processing, and probabilistic modeling, as well as excellent programming skills in languages such as Python, C++, or Objective-C. You will be responsible for designing and implementing machine learning algorithms that process image and time-series data, deploying scalable and efficient processes for large-scale data analyses, and communicating complex ideas to cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement machine learning algorithms that process image or time-series data measured by various sensors in different products
  • Deploy massive computing platforms with thousands of GPU's and CPU's to establish scalable, efficient, automated processes for large-scale data analyses, model development, and model validation
  • Communicate advanced ideas to focused teams and develop innovative tools and metrics that change the way we look at problems
  • Join a thriving Machine Learning community and work cross-functionally with sensor architects and software engineers to build the next generation of sensing technologies
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements and develop solutions that meet business needs
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in machine learning and deep learning, and apply this knowledge to improve the performance and efficiency of our algorithms

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • A BS degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Statistics, or other STEM fields, with a minimum of 3 years of relevant industry experience
  • Experience with one or more Deep Learning packages, including but not limited to TensorFlow and PyTorch
  • Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, C++, or Objective-C
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams

Preferred Qualifications

While not essential, the following qualifications are highly desirable:

  • A Ph.D. degree in CS or other STEM fields, with a strong background in deep learning and machine learning
  • Experience in human-computer interaction (HCI) space, with a focus on developing intuitive and user-friendly interfaces
  • Experience with signal processing, probabilistic modeling, and statistics, with a strong understanding of how to apply these concepts to real-world problems
  • Familiarity with C++ or Objective-C programming, with experience in developing high-performance implementations of deep learning algorithms
  • Experience processing large-scale data sets using Mesos, Spark, or Hadoop, with a strong understanding of how to optimize data processing pipelines for performance and efficiency

Compensation, Perks, and Benefits

  • A base salary range of $143,100 to $264,200, depending on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location
