Job Purpose

As our Engineering Manager – Ecommerce, you'll lead the development and maintenance of best-in-class solutions for high-traffic web UI engineering teams. You'll be responsible for building and executing high-confidence roadmaps, motivating teams to achieve exceptional results, and fostering a culture of innovation and excellence. Your expertise will be instrumental in shaping the future of our ecommerce platform and driving business growth through digital transformation.

Key Responsibilities

* Lead the development and maintenance of high-traffic web UI engineering teams, ensuring scalability, reliability, and exceptional user experiences

  • Build and execute high-confidence roadmaps, aligning with business objectives and driving digital transformation
  • Motivate and inspire teams to achieve exceptional results, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence
  • Develop and implement data-driven analyses to surface new opportunities for product and user experience improvement
  • Manage and deliver end-to-end digital programs and initiatives, leveraging agile and design-thinking principles
  • Develop digital training and development programs to meet identified needs, empowering team members to grow and develop
  • Conceptualize elements of digital strategy and digital-enabled business change projects, driving innovation and growth
  • Manage a portfolio of projects, reporting to senior colleagues and contributing to the development of budget plans
  • Lead in detecting and analyzing cybersecurity incidents, remediating security gaps, and ensuring compliance with security incident management procedures
  • Communicate the actions needed to implement the function's strategy and business plan within the team, motivating people to commit to these and achieve local business goals
  • Use the organization's formal development framework to identify team members' individual development needs, planning and implementing actions to build their professional capabilities

Essential Qualifications

* Master's Degree or Equivalent Level Preferred

  • Substantial general work experience, with comprehensive job-related experience in own area of expertise to fully competent level (over 6 years to 10 years)
  • Managerial experience, with experience of supervising and directing people and other resources to achieve specific end results within limited timeframes (13 months to 3 years)
  • Technical experience in web development technologies, including JSON, HTML, CSS preprocessors, JavaScript/Typescript, and asynchronous call structures
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies, unit testing, and test coverage technologies
  • Familiarity with git-based source control, Docker, Kubernetes, or other container technologies
  • Interest in researching and understanding alternative web technologies

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience with NRWL/NX Mono-repo or similar mono-repo architecture

  • Experience leading teams of contractors in onshore/offshore engagements
  • Experience mentoring and growing the careers of software engineers
  • Track record of elevating operational and engineering excellence

* Competitive salary, with a target pay range of $95,200 - $158,800
