Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and bilingual Customer Service Representative to join our FedEx Ground Services team in Virginia, USA. As a Bilingual Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for handling inbound customer requests from FedEx OPCOs and FTNC, providing information about customs clearance, and processing credit card payments. This is a full-time opportunity with a competitive salary of $25/hour.

Key Responsibilities

  • Customer Service: Answer incoming calls from Canadian and U.S. customers regarding their FTNC-FXG clearance receipts and direct them to the relevant FTNC department or FedEx OPCO for resolution.
  • Investigations and Resolutions: Investigate and resolve customer inquiries regarding FTNC clearances for FXG shipments into Canada.
  • Credit Card Payments: Process credit card payments from customers, ensuring accurate logging of payments against receipts in the FTNC accounting system.
  • Payment Processing Issues: Liaise with customers to resolve payment processing issues, such as incorrect credit card numbers or declined payments.
  • Internal Support: Assist FedEx Express Customer Support Agents with inquiries related to FXG shipments in customs clearance delay or FTNC clearance receipt.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager, including sorting and relating Low Value Shipment (LVS) archives and preparing FTNC solicitations for mailing.

Requirements and Qualifications

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree: A Bachelor's degree in any field is required.
  • Language Skills: Fluency in both English and French, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Technical Skills: Working knowledge of MS Office, Outlook, and IBM AS 400 Centralized computer application system.
  • Customer Service Experience: Previous experience in customer service or a related field is an asset.

Preferred Qualifications

  • High School Certificate: A High School Certificate is required.
  • Office Equipment: Familiarity with office equipment, such as fax machines, scanners, and printers.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
