Experienced Senior Director, Global Head, Adversarial Abuse/Analytics – Web Security and Data Insights

We're seeking an experienced Senior Director, Global Head, Adversarial Abuse/Analytics to join our Trust and Security team at YouTube. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the Adversarial Abuse group in identifying and eliminating malicious actors, as well as the Business Analytics group in producing insights, estimating uncaught badnesses, and distributing transparency reports for countries worldwide.

Job Responsibilities:
As the Senior Director, Global Head, Adversarial Abuse/Analytics, you will be responsible for:
- Leading the Adversarial Abuse group in identifying and eliminating malicious actors, including account takeovers, spam, commitment misuse, and more
- Collaborating with the Business Analytics group to produce insights, estimate uncaught badnesses, and distribute transparency reports for countries worldwide
- Understanding, anticipating, and insightfully mitigating risks from new, scaling industry patterns (e.g., generative AI)
- Working with the Strategy Development group to create approaches using account, social, and content signals to describe harmful behavior
- Delivering powerful and productive operational execution (e.g., quality, service levels) in a global team working 24x7
- Attracting, retaining, developing, and fostering brilliant talent
- Managing accelerations with quick turnaround times required to circle back, provide data and content-driven insights, and implement solutions while creating associations with key cross-functional partners to launch new products and approaches that effectively prevent adversarial abuse
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., computer science, mathematics, statistics)
- Four years of experience or equivalent common sense experience
- Two years of experience working with risk management, abuse fighting at scale, and building/conveying analytical models
- Two years of experience working with design teams that form data infrastructure and ML models
- Two years of experience driving teams with the ability to work non-standard weeks of work as accelerations require
- Preferred qualifications:
+ Postgraduate education in a related field (e.g., computer science, mathematics, statistics) + Two years of experience with investigation of large datasets and anomaly detection + Experience or demonstrated interest in adversarial abuse activities + Knowledge of SQL/R/Matlab + Exceptional influencing and leadership skills and the ability to build relationships with cross-functional partners + Magnificent business judgment, critical and analytical skills, including using data to drive strategy and business action with the ability to work in a rapidly changing industry and manage ambiguity while minimizing uncertainty through quantitative insights
