As the Senior Director, Global Head, Adversarial Abuse/Analytics, you'll play a critical role in leading our Trust and Security, Adversarial Abuse and Analytics team in identifying and mitigating threats to our platform. You'll work closely with cross-functional partners to develop and implement effective strategies to prevent and respond to adversarial abuse, while also driving business growth and innovation.

Key Responsibilities

As the Senior Director, Global Head, Adversarial Abuse/Analytics, you'll be responsible for leading the Adversarial Abuse group in identifying and eliminating threats to our platform, including account takeovers, spam, commitment misuse, and more. You'll also lead the Business Analytics group in producing insights, estimating uncaught badnesses, and distributing transparency reports for countries around the world. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the Adversarial Abuse group in identifying and eliminating threats to our platform
  • Collaborating with the Strategy Development team to develop approaches using account, social, and content signals to describe harmful behavior
  • Developing and implementing effective strategies to prevent and respond to adversarial abuse
  • Managing accelerations with quick turnaround times to circle back, provide data-driven insights, and carry out solutions
  • Building and maintaining relationships with key cross-functional partners to drive business growth and innovation
  • Developing and executing plans to improve location and tooling, worldwide merchant activities, and strategy development
  • Providing data-driven insights and recommendations to inform business decisions and drive growth

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • A bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., computer science, mathematics, statistics)
  • At least 4 years of experience in a related field, including 2 years of experience in risk management, fraud fighting at scale, and building/conveying analytical models
  • 2 years of experience working with design teams that build data infrastructure and ML models
  • 2 years of experience driving teams with the ability to work non-standard hours as accelerations require
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and drive business insights
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with cross-functional partners
  • Strong business judgment, critical thinking, and scientific skills, including the ability to use data to drive strategy and business decisions

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications would be a plus:

  • Postgraduate education in a related field (e.g., computer science, mathematics, statistics)
  • 2 years of experience in investigating large datasets and anomaly detection
  • Experience or demonstrated interest in adversarial abuse activities
  • Knowledge of SQL/R/Matlab
  • Exceptional influencing and leadership skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with cross-functional partners
