Experienced ETL (Ab Initio) QA/Tester – Data Warehousing and Reporting Capabilities Specialist

Job Summary
As an ETL (Ab Initio) QA/Tester, you will play a critical role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality software applications that meet our clients' needs. You will be responsible for developing and executing formal test plans, writing test cases and scripts, and test case automation and test execution. You will also be involved in test planning, defect tracking and reporting, and working with business stakeholders to understand their requirements.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and execute formal test plans to ensure the delivery of quality software applications
- Write test cases and scripts, and automate test cases using industry-standard tools
- Execute tests and document all problems
- Develop testing strategies and test plans, including functional testing, regression testing, negative testing, deployment testing, ETL job execution (ControlM/Control Center) testing, and error handling testing
- Work with business stakeholders to understand their requirements and develop test plans that meet their needs
- Track defects and report on testing progress and results
- Demonstrate advanced SQL, UNIX, ControlM, Control Center, and ETL (Ab Initio) skills
- Ability to understand the code base by looking at AbInitio Psets, graphs (.mp) & XFR's
- Has required skills to mockup and upload test data using Ab Initio's Test Data Management tool (TDM)
- Deliverable: Test Strategy, Test Plan, Traceability Matrix, Test Cases, Test Data, Test Results, Test Defects, and Build Assessment documentation
Essential Qualifications
* 1 year of experience in ETL testing, Ab Initio Graph Testing, Cognos, and QuerySurge
- Strong background in data warehousing and reporting capabilities
- Advanced SQL, UNIX, ControlM, Control Center, and ETL (Ab Initio) skills
- Ability to understand the code base by looking at AbInitio Psets, graphs (.mp) & XFR's
- Has required skills to mockup and upload test data using Ab Initio's Test Data Management tool (TDM)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications
* 1 year of experience in Informatica
- 1 year of experience in SQL
- 1 year of experience in data warehouse
