Position Summary

We're looking for a bright, passionate, and dedicated Math Instructor / Tutor to join our team in Sewell, NJ. As a Math Instructor, you'll be responsible for providing exceptional instruction and tutoring services to students, participating in positive interactions with parents, and establishing a high level of confidence and program value. This is a part-time role with flexible hours, offering a unique career path focused on helping the community and working with students.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional instruction and tutoring services to students, using the Mathnasium Method and terminology
• Participate in positive interactions with parents, establishing a high level of confidence and program value
• Become proficient with digital educational materials and processes
• Teach in-center, online, and/or via hybrid delivery, using individualized instruction in a group setting
• Assess students' progress throughout instructional sessions and work collaboratively with team members to deliver the best possible experience for students
• Evaluate, grade, and correct student work and homework
• Support the maintenance of a clean and professional learning environment
• Assist with non-teaching and instructional tasks as needed

Essential Qualifications

• A passion for math and working with students
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Exceptional math competency through at least Algebra I
• Ability to balance various ongoing tasks
• Willingness to learn and be trained in the Mathnasium Method

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in teaching or tutoring mathematics
• Familiarity with educational software and technology
• Experience working with students of varying ages and skill levels
