About the Position

We are seeking two experienced and passionate K-3 In-Building Teaching Substitutes to join our team for the 2023-24 school year. As a substitute teacher, you will play a critical role in ensuring the continuity of our students' education and providing a supportive learning environment. Key Responsibilities

As a K-3 In-Building Teaching Substitute, you will be responsible for:

• Developing and implementing lesson plans that align with the district's curriculum and standards
• Providing instruction to students in grades K-3, including reading, writing, mathematics, science, and social studies
• Assessing student progress and adjusting instruction to meet the needs of individual students
• Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student engagement and motivation
• Communicating effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure a collaborative and supportive learning community
• Managing classroom behavior and maintaining a safe and respectful learning environment
• Participating in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay current with best practices

Essential Qualifications

To be considered for this position, you must possess:

• Ohio State Certification as a Grade K-3 Teacher
• Experience working with students in grades K-3, preferably in a substitute teaching role
• Strong knowledge of elementary school curriculum and concepts
• Ability to use technology, including educational software and online resources
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced educational environment

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications are highly desirable:

• Ohio State Certification in the appropriate grade level
• Experience working with students with special needs
• Knowledge of data information systems and data analysis
• Experience with classroom management and behavior intervention strategies
