Job Overview

In this part-time remote role, you will be responsible for providing support and maintenance for all central plant equipment and raised floor equipment at Target's enterprise server farms. This includes supporting the layout of the raised floor, power and network connectivity management, and full inventory management. Key Responsibilities

• Act as an escalation point for incident management on behalf of power and cooling systems
• Develop operational procedures for staff and vendor maintenance
• Schedule, track, and provide oversight to vendor maintenance
• Establish data center best practices and standards
• Identify training needs and provide coaching
• Cover open shifts in the event that staff schedules cannot be filled
• Recognize data center reliability trends and risks
• Support issue management to help resolve hardware, operational, and application issues related to power and cooling equipment
• Assist with Data Center Capacity Management
• Contribute to construction activities ensuring architectural and operational requirements are met

Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should have:

• BA/BS or equivalent experience in a related field
• 2 years of complete work experience in environments containing electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and UPS systems
• In-depth knowledge of advanced engineering technical approaches in design, build, testing, and troubleshooting issues as required by the space
• Ability to maintain technical knowledge within subject matters
• Stay current with new and evolving technologies through appropriate training and self-education
