As a Full Stack Software Engineer at Delta Airlines, you will be responsible for the following key tasks:- Design, develop, and deploy scalable and secure web and cloud-based applications that meet the needs of our customers and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product owners, designers, and QA engineers, to ensure that our applications meet the highest standards of quality and usability.
- Develop and maintain high-quality code that is efficient, modular, and easy to maintain.
- Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to ensure that our codebase is of the highest quality.
- Identify and prioritize technical requirements and develop solutions that meet the needs of our customers and stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including user manuals, technical guides, and API documentation.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends in the industry and apply this knowledge to improve our applications and services.
- Collaborate with our DevOps team to ensure that our applications are deployed and monitored effectively.
- Participate in agile development methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban, to ensure that our applications are delivered on time and to the highest standards of quality.
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications:- 3+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on web and cloud-based applications.
- Strong knowledge of programming languages, including Java, Python, and JavaScript.
- Experience with agile development methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban.
- Strong understanding of software design patterns and principles.
- Experience with cloud-based platforms, including AWS and Azure.
- Strong knowledge of database management systems, including MySQL and MongoDB.
- Experience with testing frameworks, including JUnit and PyUnit.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
While the following qualifications are not essential, they are highly desirable:- Experience with DevOps tools, including Jenkins and Docker.
- Knowledge of containerization, including Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with cloud-based services, including AWS Lambda and Azure Functions.
- Strong understanding of security principles and practices, including authentication and authorization.
