Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and customer-focused Part-Time Customer Service Agent to join our team at Delta Airlines. As a Ticketing and Baggage Handling Specialist, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional customer experiences, ensuring seamless ticketing and baggage handling processes, and upholding the highest standards of safety and security. Key Responsibilities

  • Welcome and assist customers with ticketing and baggage handling processes, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience.
  • Utilize computer systems to sell, print, and reissue tickets, as well as manage the registration process for customers.
  • Handle baggage handling tasks, including labeling and lifting, while maintaining a high level of safety and security awareness.
  • Practice security-conscious behaviors in all operational cycles and systems, adhering to Delta's strict safety protocols.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure seamless operations, providing exceptional customer service and support.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, including working in open areas, handling unaccompanied minors and disabled travelers, and representing the airline in a professional manner.

Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications and skills:

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse individuals and teams.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to lift bags or objects weighing up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift bags or objects weighing between 50 and 70 pounds.
  • Basic computer skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and other software applications.
  • Ability to work a fixed or rotating schedule, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in customer service, ticketing, or baggage handling.
  • Knowledge of airline operations, safety protocols, and security procedures.
  • Fluency in Spanish, both written and spoken.
  • Ability to work in a multicultural environment, with a strong commitment to diversity and inclusion.
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations.
