Job Responsibilities

As a Data Protection & Privacy Analyst, you'll be responsible for:

• Analyzing and implementing data protection and privacy policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local, national, and international regulations
• Conducting risk assessments and developing mitigation strategies to protect sensitive data
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to design and develop secure data storage solutions
• Providing training and guidance to employees on data protection and privacy best practices
• Staying up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in cybersecurity and data protection
• Participating in incident response and crisis management efforts to ensure business continuity

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

• A Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
• 3+ years of experience in a STEM-related field, with a focus on data protection and privacy
• A deep understanding of data protection and privacy requirements and policies, both locally and globally
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with all levels of management
• The ability to work in a dynamic environment with multiple priorities and deadlines
• A strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and protocols, including network security and cryptography
• A reliable and punctual attendance record, with a commitment to meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality results

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications will give you a competitive edge:

• CISA certification
• Knowledge of computer networking principles and protocols, and network security
• Knowledge of safety engineering and architecture principles
• Knowledge of cryptography and cryptographic key control principles
• Experience with data protection and privacy vendors, tools, and products
• A strong understanding of compliance and regulatory requirements, including GDPR and HIPAA
